Woodshop Purge
(1) Antique tool chest (34.5" wide, 18" deep, 17" tall) purchased from Lynn Dowd ($300 OBO). Features handcut dovetails, recessed handles, 3 tills (narrow saw till in back, 2 shallow tills). Screws attaching lid to hinge on back left side have waggled out. Screws are missing. (I had planned to replace both with a some kind of strap hinge, but never got around to it.) (2) TAKEN! Porter Cable trim saw for cutting sheet goods. Max cut depth is about 1". (3) Delta mortising attachment for drill press ($50 OBO) - Originally mounted on a Delta 16" drill press. Not sure if it fits all makes of drill presses, but there are some different sized collars in the box. The bits are protected in small PVC pipes. The original plastic case distentegrated on me and there is no manual, but I'm pretty sure all of the parts are there. (4) Table saw accessories ($50 OBO), including Grr-Ripper system with several extras, most of which were never used and packages remain unopened. (5) Forest 10" tablesaw blades: Woodworker II ($50 vs. $234 new), Duraline Hi-A/T ($100 vs. $327 new), Dado King ($200 vs. $534 new) with Magnetic Dado Shims, Blade Stiffener (Free!) - At one time these were the best you could buy. Maybe they still are. All I know is that they were frightfully expensive (and still are). The Woodworker II has been professionally sharpened at least once. All of them could stand a good cleaning. I'm pretty sure I bought the blade stiffener for my radial arm saw, but apparently I never used it. ($250 takes everything) (6) TAKEN! Sawbench (40.5" long, 16.5" wide, 19" tall) made from 2x12" southern yellow pine. Features handcut dovetails--and boy were they a bitch to handcut!--and 3/4" holes for hold-downs. (7) Yes, it's a violin case. (FREE) It was given to me by the leader of a band I was playing in pre-pandemic. I don't remember why he gave it to me, but he said he originally got it for a Halloween Costume where he was dressed as a gangster. (8) Porter Cable Plate Joiner ($75 OBO) (9) C. Prescott Lowell wooden adjustable rabbet plane ($75 OBO) - Plane works and has all the parts as far as I can tell. I'm almost certain I bought this one from Lynn Dowd. (10) Scraper (FREE) (11) 2 Fret saws, no blades (FREE) (12) Draw knife (FREE) - Never used, by me anyway. (13) Very small blue shoulder plane. (FREE) No name that I can find. I have no idea where I got it (or why).
